Culinary Excellence in the Caribbean: 10th Edition of Saint Barth Gourmet Festival
23-Oct-2023
A culinary festival will unfold in the heart of the Caribbean's most idyllic haven. The Collectivité of St. Barthélemy and the island's Tourism Committee are thrilled to announce the grand return of the Saint Barth Gourmet Festival, now in its tenth edition. Scheduled to grace our shores from November 7th to 12th, 2023, this event has been eagerly anticipated by the island's residents and epicurean enthusiasts worldwide.
A Feast of Chefs and Rising Stars
At the heart of this extraordinary culinary celebration lies the art of collaboration. The festival combines a symphony of culinary talents, featuring a dozen distinguished & Michelin-starred chefs, mainly from France, each ready to craft 'four-handed' dinners. These carefully curated culinary duets will be showcased in 11 of the island's most exquisite dining establishments, including our elegant Amis St. Barth, which offers island-inspired French Mediterranean cuisine.
But that's not all. The Saint Barth Gourmet Festival also shines a spotlight on the future of fine dining. Talented young "togues" (aspiring chefs) will compete for the title of Best Young Chef of St. Barthélemy. At the same time, the island's skilled mixologists will showcase their prowess in a thrilling bartending competition. And, of course, the ever-popular waitstaff race promises to entertain and amaze.
Elevating Le Barthélemy's Flavors with Our New Executive Chef, Jérémy Czaplicki, and Guest Franck Putelat
As the grand crescendo to this spectacular culinary concerto, we proudly introduce our new Executive Chef, Jérémy Czaplicki, acclaimed with a Michelin Star in his previous restaurant, and a culinary identity centered on the sea and vegetation that gives absolute prominence to the flavors of the environment, who, along with Guest Chef Franck Putelat, who has been reinventing classic French cuisine since 2006, and who has had three restaurants, one with two Michelin stars, will present an exclusive four-hand menu at Amis St. Barth, which includes dishes such as Appetizer bites, Parmentier, Sea Potato, Potato, Osciètre caviar, Rack of lamb seared in a casserole and flavored with agastache, lightly tainted artichokes, pine nuts cracker, sardine, “Vitello tonnato” sauce, and more.
This exceptional dining experience can be enjoyed for 135 Euros per person. We highly recommend making early reservations at contact@amisrestaurant.com to secure your place on this exquisite gastronomic journey, available during the Saint Barth Gourmet Festival 2023.
Culinary Luminaries
This year's festival welcomes a constellation of celebrated chefs, each representing an esteemed restaurant or hotel on the island. Among the luminaries gracing our shores are:
1. Franck Putelat: Chef of La Table de Franck Putelat, in residence at Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa's exclusive restaurant, Amis St. Barth. Originally from the Jura, he began his culinary career at 14. These experiences instilled a taste for excellence and led him to win a Bocuse d'Argent in 2003. He subsequently earned two Michelin stars for his first restaurant, "La Table de Franck Putelat," and the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France four years ago.
2. Pierre Hermé: Master Pastry Chef of Maison Pierre Hermé Paris.
